It is important that we respect copyright holders' interests for any material(s) included on this website. We therefore ask that you either own the copyright to (or have the copyright holder's written permission to use) any photograph, image, document, video footage, music, soundtrack or other material(s) that you submit. By submitting such material(s) you will indemnify us (Online Fellwalking Club) against any third party claims in respect of breach of copyright. By submitting material(s) for use on this website, you grant us (Online Fellwalking Club) a perpetual royalty free, non-exlusive licence to use said material(s) in any way we (Online Fellwalking Club) see fit in connection with - maintaining the website (and any subsidiary sites related to the Online Fellwalking Club),
- providing services to our members and
- promoting the Online Fellwalking Club generally - this may include, but is not limited to, publicity posters, leaflets, club stationery, club journals, multimedia materials (such as promotional CDs and DVDs) and promotional merchandise related to the Club.
You will not receive any payment, licence fees or royalties (unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand) for the use of any such material used in accordance with provisions 1, 2 and 3 above. This basically allows us to use your material for no fee in order to run and promote the OFC and associated website(s). We may use your material for example on a mug used to promote the OFC or as a competition prize. Where the use of your material falls outside the scope of these provisions, such as producing club merchandise for sale, then we will explicitly seek your permission for such use. This for example could happen if at some point in the future we wanted to produce an OFC calendar for sale, or to sell photographs taken by members. Depending on the use, you may be entitled to receive a royalty payment or licence fee and this will be agreed prior to any such use. You (or the respective copyright holder) will always retain the copyright of any material(s) submitted. Where substantial works (such as articles) are submitted we will endeavour to provide clear acknowledgement of the author. For smaller works (such as an entry in Members' Walks) your name (or similar identifying attribute) will appear within the content. We reserve the right to refuse to publish any material that is deemed unsuitable. Online Fellwalking Club 17 July 2007 Issue 1.0
