From the likes of Jos Naylor, to the less seasoned walker, the problem of bruised toes can be a problem.  This link includes a plethora of ideas in order to keep your 'tootsies' in tip top condition!

"Thanks for the advice. Had my boots years and apart from coming downhill they are great but coming to the end of their life  and I don't want to make the same mistake again! I have always thought they were slightly too big so I have an insole in them and usually wear 3 pairs of socks (don't laugh!!) with a really good bouncy pair on the outside!! Found that to work best but my toes are still painful after a long walk."
