The walk out today did start as rather a wet affair. However, Lakeland's highest water fall, Scale Force was spectacular after the recent rains and added interest was available just watching Terry Bottomley in action even though the weather conditions were atrocious. In such good company and suitably equipped the weather conditions didn't dampen a great day.
Although the tops were cloudy, we met few people on the tops and had a few minutes entertainment on Red Piek whilst Terry battled with his camera and tripod in the wind in order to get the group photo of us three.
I guess it wasn't the most memorable walk in terms of views, but for experiencing Scale Force at its best and for good company I guess it ranks up there as a most memorable day. I would like to thank John Scadding (http://www.thelakedistrictwalker.com/ ) and Terry Bottomley (http://www.outunder.fsnet.co.uk/ ) for accompanying me.
For a video compilation of the day walk watch it here:
