Hopefully this space will be slowly filling up with details of my escapades in the countryside of England. My scope (along with my belly) is expanding, so who knows what I might find to put in my space? Whatever I do, I hope readers find some interest hiding in here.

Today I caught the train to Hebden Bridge and walked back to Wardle via Stoodley Pike and a chunk of the Pennine Way. |

The OFC Wasdale meet was a wet affair. Happily it didn't stop the day being totally enjoyable. We arrived at the summit of the A6 in cloudy weather with little in the way of views. Then it rained.

On Saturday Lorraine and I had a small but very rewarding walk up to Stickle Pike. The weather was gloomy but the clouds broke and we saw the inversion lifting and settling on the high tops. It was very hazy but local views were spot on. |

After a day of touring 'pretty' places, Lorraine and I headed for Caw on Saturday. An early start meant we were at Stephenson Ground at 08:30 and following the River Lickle upstream. |

On Sunday Lorraine and I had a trip to Wharfedale, the plan was to follow one of Bob Allen's routes and walk from Burnsall to Trollers Gill following the Dales Way. |

On Saturday, Lorraine and I drove up to Ribblehead with the plan of walking a bit of the Dales Way, the Ribble Way and the Pennine Way. The idea was to walk Blea Moor after walking from Ribblehead to Grove Head. However the plan changed. |

Bank Holiday Monday, after a lovely early walk to Latrigg and a quiet stroll to Castlerigg stone circle, Lorraine and I, followed closely by Kev and Les drove to Aira Force. |
