Hopefully this space will be slowly filling up with details of my escapades in the countryside of England. My scope (along with my belly) is expanding, so who knows what I might find to put in my space? Whatever I do, I hope readers find some interest hiding in here.
Time to consult the maps once more.

After missing out on a Latrigg dawn on Sunday, due to lazyitis, I decided to set my alarm for 5am on Monday. It was well worth the small effort. |

After an early morning stroll around Derwent Water, a proper walk was needed, so the 79 bus was caught and Rosthwaite Fell called! |

Paul Harrison (the Priest) and I had a good day's walking yesterday, Fairfield from Dunmail (the King) Raise. We set off on a warm, sunny day and proceeded up alongside Raise beck. |

I finally managed a long planned walk yesterday. Grasmere to Seatoller via High Raise and Eagle Crag, with a plan to try and meet up with Helmut on High Raise. |

Lorraine, Janet and myself had a tootle down to Ladybower reservoir today for a wander up to Alport Castles. Great weather, certain people said it was a bit windy, but it was a lovely sunny day with only a few minutes of grey sky. |

Yesterday I took advantage of the lovely weather to have a run out on the bus with my Mam, Dad and Ben (the dog). A beautifully tranquil day with barely a wave on Walney channel (until Ben went in). Loads of birdlife around, great big flocks doing aerobatics over the bay. |
