On Saturday I had an early start to walk on Schneeberg, taking the opportunity of the rest of the family being on a lazy holiday at the Adriatic beach. It was a quick ascent via my favourite route, from Losenheim up via Fadensteig, which goes through the northeastern escarpments to the plateau. Up there, mountain spring had just sprung, so lots of different flowers were out in full bloom. The forecast thunderstorms appeared the same evening. You can view a complete set of Schneeberg photographs on Helmut's website. |

"Just had to say, thank you for such a grand few minutes. I am 67 now and my knees are past the challenge of such a climb (Tryfan article) but it was great doing it again online with you." Sheelagh Finlay
