I will also be thinking about you both this Christmas. Regards Sherran
May I just add my voice to those of other Club members today following your bad news. Although Yorkshiremen are usually never short for words, I find myself not really knowing what to say. I would not presume to offer any advice to either of you as I am fortunate to never have been in such a situation. All I can say is that as with the rest of the Club, I will be thinking of you over the coming days and weeks and hope that Lorraine gets well on her way to recovery. Try to keep smiling and look after each other. Very best wishes. Stuart Willis
So sorry to hear your bad news, it must feel as if the bottom had fallen out of your world. I can only add that my thoughts are with you both. Try to stay strong & above all, look after each other. With my very best wishes, Angela. (Angie)
We've not met, other than through the OFC message board, however my very best wishes to you both, Dave L

Lorraine and Steve, My thoughts are with you Terry G.
It is the strength of humans with their kindred spirit which drives us forward and so it shall be with you. Just remember you can't get lost - the path lies ahead, however tough, and there are many to guide you. The thoughts of everyone in this club go with you. With love and God speed, Peter Burgess
Well said, Peter. I can't really add anything to that except to say that my thoughts are with you both. Paul Rose
I just want to echo everyone's good wishes, especially what Peter wrote. I think he found just the right words too. I'm taking your card to post from Cumbria so you will have some of that special Lakeland air on it. Just take it a day at a time. Thinking about you and wishing you the best of luck at this difficult time. Jill R
That's horrible news for you both just before Christmas but very good that she has a diagnosis and, by the sound of it, a good doctor who is not going to keep her awaiting around. With love and best wishes from us all. Jayne, Max and Ollie
That really is bad news but as you say at least they have found it. Give my very best wishes to Lorraine for me. Thinking of you all. Angela
Please give Lorraine extra hugs - she'll need them more than ever, and tell her that we're all thinking of her and wishing her better. James

The Lost Sheep 7 - Available Now

Read more...The long and anticipated wait for the launch of the next issue of The Lost Sheep is now here.  Issue 7 is a veritable feast of articles which again have lifted the quality of the publication to a heady height which belies our humble roots.  The OFC should really be proud of ths publication especially after the £700 raised for AW's charity Kapellan from issue 6.  If you would like to get your hands on a copy or 10 then please do read on...

Kirkstone Rescue

Read more...A proposed walk on Sunday 22nd June was shelved after Peter Burgess chanced upon a road traffic accident at the summit of Kirkstone Pass.  Thankfully, there were no serious injuries and despite the passenger of one car being taken to Westmorland General the only real damage was caused to both vehicles.
