Every August Bank Holiday, Craven Potholing Club set up a winch at the entrance to Gaping Gill and will lower you down over 100m in a bosun's chair so that you can explore the huge cavern beneath. Meet at the main car park in Clapham for a 09.30 start. The descent of Gaping Gill costs 10 pounds for a return trip. There will also be a walk on to Ingleborough dependent on weather and timing of our descent of the pothole.
