The Lost Sheep 7 - some images
If you do have a Paypal account then please feel free to use the eBay system. If the available link below is not working then please use 'The Lost Sheep 7' in the search bar. I do hope you enjoy issue 7 as much as I enjoy putting it together. Again there are some excellent articles and I hope you might feel inspired to send in your writings for next issue which will be focusing on photography. It would be interesting to hear what cameras people use on the fells or any techniques you can share. We will be posting an online survey very soon asking for people to state which cameras they use. The contents of issue 7 include:-
‘Waking With a Slug In My Ear’ by Michael Fox Wasdale to Wasdale, Borrowdale to Borrowdale—with John Burland 20 Questions..... Spotlight on...? Peak Weekend with Neil Haslewood More 214 Completers—Get your accomplishment in print! COMPETITION: Book Review—The Fell Walker by Michael Wood Lakeland—Land of Migrants and Foreign Tongues! Article by David Keys ‘Living the Dream’ by Jayne Hill Edmund Hillary—In Memoriam with Dave Dimmock Scafell, Portrait of a Mountain by Bill Birkett Andrew Mason describes ‘Remembrance 2007’ An Alaskan Adventure with Roger and Ann Hiley “We’ve Got Mail!” - message of support from Chris Bonnington ‘Fell Fun!’ - the lighter side of the O.F.C
On a final note, although I have already acnowledged them in print, I would like to thank Liz Lemal, Tracy Ward and Jill and Nigel Batchelor for proof-reading the journal. Greatest thanks should go to Stephen Siddall, our shining knight in armour, who tirelessly prints the journal for the OFC. If it wasn't for the efforts of Stephen the quality of the journal would be paltry and I am certain its success would be far less.
Ad altiora! Thanks for your support. *All the cover price after the costs of carriage go to the Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team |
